School and College Santa Marina history
On September 8th, 1969, Santa Marina School began the Kidergarten and Primary courses, next to Santa Marina Church, in Vila Carrão (on São Paulo - Brazil).
In 1974 tyhe School got its own headquarter with the incentive of the students' parents and school authorities. With educational innovations it could grow up and offer a better education. From then on, the School and the students developed together.
In 1978, once more motivated by students' parents, the School enlarged its installations and activities; gradually increasing the Elementary Course classrooms.
In 1986 High School Course started in order to offer the students an updated curriculum to make easier their university entrance examination.
In 2004, higher education courses (College) started with Graduation and Postgraduation courses in Education, such as Professional Qualification Course.
Nowadays, with an area of 6.000m2, dedicated only to education, Santa Marina School and College has a covered and heated swimming pool, a computer laboratory, a library, a science laboratory, multimedia rooms, an auditorium, an art room, a nursery, an experimental kitchen, a sports gymnasium, a snack bar and a special room to develop physical and mental abilities.
